Gorakhpur Development Authority (GDA) is planning to establish a new city area under the Mahayojana program - 2031. The city will be modern in every aspect, it is assumed that it will be like Noida, Greater Noida, or Navi Mumbai.

The model of the establishment is based on PPP(private partnership project) model, to establish the city some private organizations and GDA(Gorakhpur Development Authority) will work together.

The new Gorakhpur will be the gift from the Current C.M of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Aditya Nath Ji to the people of Gorakhpur and nearby places, if we look after some previous projects like this they will have a huge success and give a lot of development to that area, so New Gorakhpur will also bring a lot of development to the city. 

This new city will comprise organized housing, hotels, malls and multiplex, schools, hospitals, petrol pumps, and so on including all amenities. More Details

• The city will be developed on the Kushinagar path between Jagdishpur and Deoria.

• It will be assisted by many investors and will be recognized as major growth in the development process.

• The total area is 2500 acres approx. under which this city will be projected.

• It will have the capacity of bearing 1.5 lakh of the population with settlements. Investment, Funding, and Development

• The acquisition of land area for the project will be done by private investors whereas the roads, drainage, and other social-economic sectors will be managed by GDA.

• Currently the land uses for agriculture but according to the plan it will be shifted to settlements and commercial use.

• Due to Kushinagar International Airport and ring road thereby the area is developing at a significant pace and this is encouraging private investors to look upon it. Conclusion -

• The project will extend till ‘Sonbarsa’ On Kushi Nagar road and will favor commercial land use near 300 meters along both sides.

• The current president of the Gorakhpur development program Mr. Prem Ranjan Singh has reported extending the goals of the project as Gorakhpur is developing rapidly.

• He has also mentioned that the project will include more than 300 villages and Mahayojna - 2031 is trying to benefit more and more people.

• If we glance overall the project is going to revolutionize the development of planned development areas and at the same time it will benefit in the creation of a huge market both for manufacturers and producers.
